Teething roller ingredients! Why we use the ingredients we do

Firstly, please be aware of the difference between synthetic essential oils and therapeutic grade certified ones. There is a reason the ones you can get from the local two dollar store are 3 for $5. To be classified a pure essential oil, only 5% of a bottle actually has to be 'pure' the rest can be carrier oil or synthetic. If you look to invest into oils and want to make your own rollers or anything for you or your household, always get advise and be sure they are therapeutic grade tested otherwise the only thing you could gain is a lovely smell! There are a few companies that offer these and you wont find all of these in every health food store or local shop. Feel free to contact our Facebook page or email bnaturallife@outlook.com if you would like more information on how to get these oils wholesale.

We have diluted our rollers according to the 0-12 month recommendations by the essential oil company dilution charts. However, every baby and person is different which is why we recommend a test patch in a less sensitive place before fully applying this roller to the jaw line and behind the ears. We have done a heap of research and testing before formulating this roller and have used books such as the Essential life and The essential Midwife book to come up with these rollers. I strongly recommend adding the essential midwife on Facebook or purchasing her book for many tips and tricks on how to use oils and natural alternatives pre, during and post pregnancy. This lady is amazing and has done all her research and published this amazing book to help with so many things related to this time of your life.

The aim of these rollers is to give everyone the opportunity to use these no matter of your financial situation or if you just simply want to try before you invest in them. The oils retail at $268.79 and wholesale at $201.75 and that’s without the carrier oil, roller bottle and label. These are amazing oils and we just truly want to share the benefits with EVERYONE. We have a true belief that essential oils are a great way to replace some harsh chemicals used.

Our roller contains 4 essential oils: Roman Chamomile, Frankincense, lavender and Clove

Here is a rundown on the benefits of the essential oils we use:

Roman Chamomile:

This oil is amazing for all people including babies. Dilution is always recommended when using oils on children and babies. We chose this oil as it has helped so many children and is highly recommended by well known natural organisations, books and by personal experiences by many. Roman Chamomile has a calming effect on the skin, mind, and body. It is a more expensive oil that has amazing therapeutic benefits, not just aromatic. Roman Chamomile grows close to the ground, reaching only up to a foot in height. It has gray-green leaves, flowers that resemble a daisy, and smells like apple. The plant has been nicknamed the “plant’s physician” because it has positive effects on plants growing nearby. Ancient Romans used the oil for courage during war. Roman Chamomile can be found in teas, face creams, drinks, hair dyes, shampoos, and perfumes.

Renowned as one of the most prized and precious essential oils, Frankincense can have extraordinary health benefits. In addition to its notoriety in the New Testament, the Babylonians and Assyrians would burn Frankincense in religious ceremonies and the ancient Egyptians used Frankincense resin for everything from perfume to salves for soothing skin. This centuries-old knowledge contributes to the modern uses of Frankincense today. Its soothing and beautifying properties are used to rejuvenate skin and help reduce the appearance of imperfections when applied topically. As the king of oils it is not only great for its own benefits but it is also known to enhance the benefits of other oils when added, hence why it is a valued ingredient in our rollers! Frankincense promotes feelings of peace, relaxation, satisfaction, and overall wellness. It can be useful in helping prevent the breakdown of the cartilage tissue and has been shown to significantly reduce levels of dangerous and painful inflammation, making it a natural treatment option for pain-related conditions that affect the muscles, joints and tendons.

Lavender is known as the Swiss army knife of oils! This is oil is an absolute beauty to help in anything you need. It is great for relaxing, calming, sleeping, skin and so much more. We use this in our household to make up skin moisturisers, face creams, anything baby related including baby moisturiser, wipes, sleep balm and diffusing this at night to promote a restful sleep.

Clove oil is a warm oil and if used carefully and properly can be extremely effective. Clove has been used for years in dental preparations, candy, and gum for its flavour and ability to cleanse the mouth, yet it provides a myriad of benefits. We do not recommend applying this internally however along the jaw line and behind the ears should help assist with pain and inflamation. This oil should always be diluted, especially for children and babies. We use only a mminimal amount of this oil as it is so effective and we follow strict guidelines for what is recomemended for 0-12 month old.
